Three Four is a Magic Number

June, 2004

This first picture is of our 'reading porch' at our second campsite. One of the best sites we've camped at. Had it been warmer, the reading porch would have made a great swimming launch pad.

The second shot was taken at our first campsite. The campsite we found at the end of a very very long first day on the water. It began to rain after about the first portage. Then it began to pour. We paddled past countless campsites that were already occupied. I wouldn't let myself believe that we found an empty site until I was out of the boat and examined the site myself.

Our first camp site ended up being a really cool site as well - positioned on a little peninsula, we got nice breezes and a stunning sunset, as you can see in the third photo.

The last picture was taken at the end of a portage around an amazing waterfall. We had to jump from rock to rock to get out there. Mike set the camera on another rock and used the timer to get this one.
