Sausage, Chickpea, and Potato Soup

  • Only the best darn soup I've ever made! I couple of notes - I usually use two cans of beans instead of dried (it's faster), a full pound of hot Italian sausage (because what's better than Italian Sausage), 28 oz of crushed tomatoes (instead of 14 oz), I also add a 14 oz can of diced tomaotoes (okay, sometimes even a 28oz can), and then only use 4 cups of broth. Result? Thicker, richer, yummier soup. Enjoy!

Buttermilk Pancakes

Saturday mornings mean pancakes in this household. I love this recipe for buttermilk pancakes, though my Grandmother's very flat, tart buttermilk pancakes will alwasy be the standard by which I judge all other pancakes.

Toffee Bars

Okay, so these Toffee Bars are the best. Don't forget to bake the crust, or bake the whole thing again before you frost it, like I did the first dozen times I made this. Obviously, it was still yummy.
