Mike has been working really hard to get all of the work done before the lead abatement work can begin. A local non-profit is going to replace all of our windows and some trim that have lead paint if we do some of the work ourselves. So, Mike's been painting the garage, the basement steps, trim work. Mira and I have tried to go on lots of adventures on the weekends to give him the time he needs to do the work. Here, we are getting ready to go for a bike ride. Mama's trying to hook the chariot up.

This is just such a cute shot of her. Those teeth really make her look like a big girl these days.

She loves to play with my cell phone so I gave her my old phone to play with. She's too darn smart for her own good because she knows her's is not as fun as mine.

So this month, or rather last month, we really mastered the concept of emptying things - the cd's, bookshelves, kitchen cabinets, momma's purse. She helps me with laundry - I put her in front of the basket and as she empties it, I sort into light, med, and dark loads. Folding, however, takes twice as long!

Grandma and Grampa have given Mira some really really cute outfits! I tried to get photos of them all. This is one of my favorites - it's got matching bloomers!

More adventures with food! Let's see, she loves peaches and honeycrisp apples, brown rice. She'll eat some of Momma's vanilla yogurt with granola and last night she had Bolognese sause with spaghetti! She's always enjoyed strong flavors. No rice cereal for this kiddo.

That's Mira with her Auntie Mary. She came to the States for a week and we picked her up at the airport. Mira is so not shy - at the airport she went right into Mary's arms and stayed there for the entire walk to the car. It's hard to see, but that's another cute dress from Grandma and Grandpa.

And here's Mira 'helping' Mary with a crochet project. When Claire came to visit, she brought me some wonderful yarn and a pattern book of French designs for babies and young womens. Mary picked it up and by the end of the day Mira had a new top!

That's the top Mary had just completed. The look on Mira's face is her 'OH!' look - when she sees something she recognizes or is curious about, she looks at us, points and says 'Oh!' in the cutest way. If we are lucky, we'll get it on video.

Another cute food shot - you're supposed to EAT the o's, not inhale them!

Peaches! Mike loves to feed her peaches - she really gets into it. She'll open her mouth really wide and then LUNGE into the peach, sinking her teeth into the fruit. It's very funny to watch. I posted a video of it here.

So I have a couple of sewing projects I'm working on - a bag for me, for Baden, for my friends Jill and Amy. Mira likes to help organize my sewing supplies while I work (usually for 5 minutes at a time, hence only one bag is done and it's already the middle of October).
