May 2005 UpdateMay 5th, 2005In April Mira mastered the art of sitting by herself with no help or support. At dinner-time, we moved her from the bouncy chair to the high-chair. And now I'm considering feeding her solids! It scares me because then there will be no turning back. She is also pulling herself up to a standing position with a little help from momma or papa. Mira and I went on an adventure all by ourselves! Oma bought a plane ticket for us so that we could be at Bronagh's christening (momma is Bronagh's god-mother). Then the next weekend we drove down to visit Oma for a sewing weekend! Mira got to meet some of my cousins - Ted, Joe, Teresa and Robert. And she met her great Aunt Mary and Uncle Armand. She had lots of fun while I sewed up the nappy bag. We've been going to an ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) class with lots of other bebes - she love to play with other kids. And now that the weather is nicer, we've been going for some walks. She also began to give hugs last month and can roll over both ways, but that is not her favorite skill. I'd have to say that standing is by far Mira's favorite pastime. That and discovering the range of her voice. She squeals, screeches, screams, and laughs when I squeal, screech, and scream back at her.
