Septemeber Update

October 12th, 2005

I finally got September pictures up on the web. You can check them out by clicking on the Cuddlebug link above or just click here.

Other things that have been going on - we started another ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) class last month. It's so much fun to see Mira play with other babies! The ages range from 6 months to 11 months - I think Mira may be the oldest. It's crazy to see the younger babies - I just can't remember her being immobile! We also go to a music class on fridays - lots of singing and reading books. Mira loves the instructor and climbs up on her lap at least once per class. I swear she's not going to be shy like her momma and daddy. We also went on a great hike with Amy mid-month and then went swimming in her mom's pool. It was great to get Mira in a 'real' pool and not a wading pool - she's gonna be a little fish.

I finished my first 'professional' website for my Aunt Mary. Check it out. She's a very very talented quilter, crocheter, and bear maker. Working on her site has been such fun. I'm also working on a baby site for our friends Don and Amy. They should have their little girl any day now. Hopefully before Sunday as Mira and I will be out of town next week. Need a site??? Let me know!

Walk This Way

October 5th, 2005

After practicing since July, Mira took her very first steps tonight! She even waited for Daddy to get home. Mike was at a conference yesterday and today. When we got home, Mike was sitting with her in the kitchen, holding her hands as she stood. Then he let go and she stood there for a good minute, thinking about what to do. Having made up her mind, she took a good four or five steps into Momma's arms! Oh, she was so proud of herself and did it again.
